'Factories and Plants' theatre scenography

Scenografia reia formele masive și greoaie ale întreprinderilor siderurgice, în contrast cu formele „sleek” ale noi lumi libere. Cele patru scaune și, în același timp, bancuri de lucru, sunt ruginite și anacronice iar stativul „space grey” ne amintește de libertatea de a cumpăra.

Cum e să ai 18 ani, să fi ieșit din școală și imediat după, să muncești în trei schimburi la fabrică? Cum e atunci când, încă din tinerețe, îți poți proiecta toate etapele existenței, până la pensie? Și, cel mai important: cum e atunci când lumea în care ai fost crescut, se schimbă substanțial? Spectacolul spune poveștile a patru foști angajați ai fabricii Armătura din Zalău, cu visele, așteptările și dezamăgirile pe care le-au avut, atât înainte, cât și după revoluție. Destinul fabricii Armătura din Zalău nu este unic: el reprezintă parcursul multor întreprinderi industriale de pe teritoriul României în perioada de tranziție. Spectacolul Fabrici și Uzine dezvăluie ce a însemnat privatizarea pentru omul de rând și cum a fost ea resimțită dincolo de „jocurile înalte”.

The scenography of the show embodies the massive and cumbersome forms found in steel factories, in contrast to the "sleek" forms of the new free world. The four chairs and, at the same time, work benches, are rusty and anachronistic, and the space gray stand reminds us of the freedom to buy.

What is it like being 18 years old, leaving school, and immediately after, to work on three shifts at the factory? What is it like when, from a young age, you can plan all the stages of your life, until you retire? And most importantly, what is it like when the world in which you grew up changes substantially? The show tells the stories of four former employees at the Armatura Zalău factory, with their dreams, expectations and disappointments, both before and after the revolution. The destiny of the Armatura Zalău is not unique: it represents the course of many industrial enterprises on the territory of Romania, during the transition period. Factories and Plants reveal what privatization meant for the common man and how it was felt beyond "high games".
